First off shout out to Merle for putting me on to this show, it’s easily made it on to my list of top tv-shows. Second, I really didn’t think this show was anything special when I watched the first three episodes, but man was I ever wrong. BoJack Horseman is the type of show that comes around ever so often and really makes you think, I’ve laughed, cried and enjoyed each season of this show. After seeing how sad it could be I thought I wasn’t going to finish it just like Shameless, but the show is more than that. Yes, it can be a sad boy show dealing with addiction, loneliness, suicide, and more but never stops being funny. Bojack’s life is a sad and pitiful one but it’s not without its comedy. I think that’s one of the main reasons I kept watching. In a way, this could be seen as the cartoon version of Breaking Bad, another show that went long and hard in its final episodes to damn its protagonist. Only to say farewell wistfully as the music plays and its hero enjoys one last moment with the life they have made for themselves. If you haven’t already I say definitely check this show out on Netflix, it’s worth the watch.
